Chiller Hitachi Systems - Screw WVY Series

Water-cooled variable speed drive

RCUF-WVY line Hitachi Air Chiller, It uses R134a refrigerant and provides cooling capacity from 155 to 520 RT. It operates with high cooling efficiency, achieving an EER of 5.9, while being designed to meet stringent environmental standards and ensure long-term durability.

 

Hitachi Chiller and VSD systems utilize proprietary G-type semi-hermetic twin-screw compressors

In 1979, Hitachi pioneered the development of twin-screw HVAC refrigeration compressors. Since then, Hitachi has sold over 200,000 units. The WVY product line utilizes Hitachi's latest G-series compressors with R134a refrigerant Hitachi Air Conditioner, This has resulted in greater efficiency for customers.

  • The rotor is designed for indoor use to minimize internal refrigerant leakage during compression.
  • The semi-hermetic compressor structure with integrated motor eliminates the need for a paired design, preventing refrigerant leakage. The refrigerant-cooled motor minimizes malfunctions, extending product lifespan.
  • An advanced oil system, driven by differential pressure, ensures adequate oil supply to the compressor. The absence of an additional oil pump reduces the number of components, improving reliability and maintenance.
  • Switching capability from 15-100% is controlled via variable speed and slide valve.
  • The variable speed control minimizes grid impact by reducing starting current and significantly improving performance at light loads.

Product line Hitachi Air Chiller WVY Series an external oil separator is included to effectively separate the oil from the refrigeration system, improving system efficiency. The unit incorporates a Venturi tube for an advanced oil system driven by differential pressure, ensuring a continuous oil supply from the oil tank to the compressor. An in-line oil filter prevents any dust particles from entering the compressor.

Evaporator

The evaporator utilizes a multi-tube flooded design with novel heat transfer tubes to create higher refrigerant turbulence, thereby improving system efficiency.

Capacitor

Water-cooled condensers are cleanable shell-and-tube heat exchangers with seamless finned copper tubes wound into tube sheets.

 

Operating multiple chillers

Connect up to 8 Hitachi chillers together using H-LINK cables.

For standalone control systems, the unit control system is equipped with remote start and stop communications, allowing users to remotely control switching based on their requirements.

When the BAS (Building Automation System) communication module is selected, users can easily access remote monitoring and operation of the unit.

The user-friendly LCD touch panel is clear and easy to read

The integrated 7-inch true-color LCD touchscreen provides a simple and intuitive interface, allowing for graphical display of the chiller, its subsystems, and system parameters. Touchscreen control facilitates quick access to necessary data through clicks on component icons. The warning display can also show recent fault logs to the administrator.

Integrated Protection System

Eleven different protection systems are integrated to automatically prevent unit failure due to excessive condenser pressure or discharge air temperature, compressor motor temperature protection, discharge and suction pressure range protection, and compressor protection from incorrect power supply or current surges. In addition, all units are antifreeze to prevent crystallization of the refrigerant and have an oil warmer to ensure lubrication performance. Submerged models are also protected against cold water flow or oil shortage via differential pressure flow switches.
