Hitachi Home Air Conditioning use the airCloud Go smartphone app (airCloud Go is not available on all products. - 99.0% effectiveness against bacteria: Air filtration technology is not available on all products - see individual product information for more details. The claim refers to the effect of the Virosense Z1 filter (optional on some models) showing a 99.0% reduction in Staphylococcus aureus NBRC12732 and Escherichia coli NBRC3301 particles under laboratory conditions tested at the Nissenken Quality Assessment Center, and also features FROSTWASH technology. - Bacterial reduction on heat exchangers tested at Kitasato's Environmental Science Research Center, and AQTIV-ion (optional on some models) showed a 99.0% reduction in E. coli particles tested at the Boken Quality Assessment Institute of Japan according to JIS Z 2801 standards.

Hitachi air conditioners are not a substitute for any Covid control measures recommended by the government or health professionals. The claim refers to the effect of AQTIV-ion (optional on some models) showing a 99.9% reduction in Covid virus particles under laboratory conditions tested at Nara Medical University, Japan. The Virosense Z1 filter showed 99.0% effectiveness against influenza A (H3N2) virus tested at the Japan Textile Product Technology and Quality Center using the ISO18184 method. Frostwash technology also showed a 99.0% reduction in virus particles on heat exchangers tested at the Kitasato Environmental Science Research Center.
